Kundalini Yoga Teacher Training

I'm so excited to begin the journey to teach yoga.  I'm also excited to tell you that this program has some of the best and most esteemed teachers out there who are brought to the area to teach.  The program is one weekend a month, so each month, I will keep you posted on how it's going.  I'll try to explain what Kundalini is and why I chose to niche down to this style of Yoga when there are so many choices.

I found Kundalini by accident.  I was searching for a new yoga studio after a negative experience. There are a million yoga studios in Minneapolis and I knew a friend of a friend who is a yoga teacher trainer here in Minneapolis, so I went and met with him and told him about my experience with the last training. I ended up joining the studio he coordinates and since I had an unlimited membership, I decided to try every kind of yoga I could.   I really wanted to find a style of yoga that had more training behind it than where I had come from, which was basically the Y. I didn't know what Ashatanga was or Hatha vs. other Vinyasa styles. I knew that yoga had changed my life and that I wanted to share that gift.  I also knew that I had experienced a very unqualified teacher training where the instructors were extremely untrained and unhealthy. I really wanted to "get back on the horse" so to speak.  I wanted to get really immersed in yoga right away and not let my negative experience stop me from growing and teaching.   I wandered into a Kundalini class around March of 2017.  It was really weird. The teacher was amazing and her energy was magnetizing. Nicole Nardone at One Yoga.  The moves were not in any flow, like the Vinyasa I had come to know and love. We did each exercise sort of repetitively for a length of time and it was totally new to me. Actually I thought It was nuts and I wanted to leave at first. I kept trying not to laugh as we knelt on the floor and bonked our head on the floor in front of us over and over, then clapped our hands or some strange thing. Then during relaxation at the end, she played a gong and it was loud and strange but I could feel it in every thread of my being. After class I literally don’t think my feet touched the ground as I returned home. I floated around for hours, it was like I was on drugs, but healthy spiritual drugs that are good for you! I became hooked right away and less than a year later I began my journey of Kundalini Teacher Training!
